School’s out

Tomorrow will be the first Monday I’m not going to work. Summer has officially begun. The depressing end-of-the-school-year workshops have ended and the stress from the massive grading of exams diminished. I feel so empty at the end of the year because of the rush to get the grades in, clean up our materials, rooms & desks and attend to the district’s administrative to-do lists. Now that it’s Sunday I can safely say I was completely worn out this past week.
I’ve wanted to write and post something meaningful for the past few months.

The most exciting thing that I can possibly think to write is that I’m pregnant. Nineteen weeks along now- almost five months, which is the half way point. Anticipating parenthood consumes my waking thoughts. Plus the miracle of being pregnant astounds me. It also justifies some of my tired moments and forgetful daze.

More to post later...

Huzzah and kudos for being back, for the impending Steiny Jr., and for summer. Nice job.
